Inspection and repair

Even if the vehicle's driving range is not particularly high, you should check the tires at least monthly or before a long journey. It is important to note excessive or irregular wear of the tread pattern, insufficient tire pressure, and scratches, bulges, rips, and punctures. If there is such damage, or if the tire pressure continues to decrease, the tires should be removed by a professional to check for damage and repairs.
 

 
Tire wear and scratches
Inaccurate positioning of the front or rear wheels can lead to accelerated or uneven wear. Front-wheel drive or vehicles with independent rear suspension require four-wheel positioning instead of two-wheel positioning. To extend the life of the tire, it is recommended to check the positioning according to the owner's manual. 1
In some cases, the irregular wear of the tire can be corrected by rotating the tire. See the owner's manual, or go to a nearby Goodyear retail outlet (insert a dealer list link) to see the correct rotation. If the tire shows uneven wear, have Goodyear professional staff perform the inspection and correct misalignment, balancing, or other mechanical issues related to the rotation. 1
The tread directly affects the grip, so it is important to periodically visually inspect the signs of uneven wear. These signs may include protrusions, depressions, or unusually smooth areas. 1

Checking the tire helps to find punctures or other obvious signs of damage that need to be replaced.

It is very important to know when the tires can be changed and when they must be replaced.
When leaking, check the inside of the tire.
When the tire is running out of gas, even for a short distance, it may damage the tire.
If limited to tread damage, most punctures, nail holes, or other cuts no larger than 1/4 inch (0.64 cm) can be repaired.
Penetrations greater than 1/4 inch (0.64 cm) on the side wall or tread must not be repaired and must not be repaired until the tread is less than 1/16 inch (0.16 cm).

Balance and positioning
Tyre balancing and proper positioning of the vehicle are important for tire life and vehicle performance.
Tire imbalance can cause vibrations that can cause driver fatigue, premature tire wear, and unwanted wear on the suspension system.
Every time you install a tire, you must balance it.
When the first signs of vibration or shaking occur, the balance is balanced and the tires are balanced once a year.
